Senior Solicitor - Professional Indemnity

The role

We are recruiting a Senior Solicitor with 5 years PQE plus to join our highly regarded Specialty team. This role will focus on professional indemnity work, defending claims against construction professionals or solicitors, and will suit an individual who thrives in a supportive team environment and enjoys complex, high-value litigation.

What you'll do

• Manage your own caseload with limited supervision
• Work as part of a team on large, complex, high value matters
• Assist the partners with their caseloads
• Prepare detailed and technical reports, correspondence and court documents
• Delegate to junior solicitors and support with their development
• Advise clients in relation to issues of liability and coverage
• Liaise with insurer and insured clients, experts, witnesses, counsel and other parties
• Ensure compliance with client service level agreements, relevant policies and procedures
• Support and contribute to business development initiatives
• Complete management information
• Delegate to and develop/supervise trainees and paralegals
• Assist with other work allocated by the Team Manager
• Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
