Regulatory Solicitor

The role

The Regulatory Department is seeking a solicitor, solicitor-advocate, or barrister with 3+ PQE to join their Regulatory team. This predominantly advocacy role will focus on undertaking inquests for police, emergency services, insurers, and healthcare clients, requiring regular court attendance.

What you'll do

• Advise clients and prepare inquest cases for court
• Prepare written submissions on the law
• Attend inquests and undertake advocacy on our clients’ behalf
• Deal with post inquest issues including prevention of future deaths reports
• Manage a case load of files
• Attend administrative applications and hearings at court, including travel, and accompany counsel where necessary
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
• Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to
• Comply with relevant policies and procedures
