Solicitor - Medical Negligence (Group Actions) at Irwin Mitchell

The role

Irwin Mitchell is seeking a Solicitor with 1-3 years of experience in Medical Negligence to join their Group Actions Team in Sheffield. This role focuses on managing individual claims and supporting senior colleagues on high-profile, high-value litigation within the Health Law practice area.

What you'll do

Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients from the outset
Manage your own caseload of individual medical negligence and group action claims
Assist on large-scale, high-profile litigation alongside experienced partners
Seek interim payments to support client rehabilitation and care needs
Collaborate with experts, counsel, and other stakeholders to build strong cases
Contribute to the team’s strategic development and knowledge sharing

What we're looking for

1-3 years PQE with a Medical Negligence background

Highly organised

Commercial awareness

Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Ability to work in a pressurised environment

Some experience of group actions and/or product liability· nice to have
