Employment Associate - Birmingham at Irwin Mitchell

The role

Irwin Mitchell is seeking an Employment Associate for their Birmingham office. This role is for a technically excellent and commercially astute lawyer to join their highly regarded Employment team, advising a diverse range of clients on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

What you'll do

Advise on a broad spectrum of employment issues including redundancies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, TUPE, absence management, and Settlement Agreements
Represent clients in Employment Tribunal claims and higher court proceedings
Lead client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
Support and mentor junior lawyers, fostering their growth and development
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless, high-quality service

What we're looking for

Technically excellent with a solid understanding of employment law

Confident leader with experience mentoring and developing junior team members

Commercially aware with strong client service skills and the ability to build and maintain professional networks
