Senior/Principal Associate - Procurement

The role

Mills & Reeve is seeking a Senior/Principal Associate with 5+ years of PQE in Procurement law to join their national team. This role involves advising government bodies, public sector clients, and suppliers on all aspects of public procurement law, litigation, and commercial contracts, primarily in Birmingham, Cambridge, or Leeds.

What you'll do

• Draft and advise on procurement documentation (from contract notices through to evaluation strategy, standstill and award)
• Provide procurement strategy and other procurement advisory work
• Advise on challenges to procurement decisions and processes
• Advise on all aspects of public procurement law
• Work with procurement litigation specialists advising on proceedings in the High Court (both defending and bringing challenges)
• Assist in the maintenance of the Procurement Portal
• Support other business development activities, including speaking at training events, seminars and external conferences, contributing to newsletters, blogs, tenders and pitches
• Contribution to internal know-how and precedent development
• Supervise more junior members of the team, trainees and apprentice solicitors
