Principal Associate - Commercial Projects

The role

Mills & Reeve is seeking a Principal Associate for their Projects practice area. This role requires 7+ years of PQE and is based in Birmingham, Cambridge, or Leeds, United Kingdom. The position involves working on high-profile commercial projects for both government and private sector clients.

What you'll do

• Lead on major projects and assist to develop innovative, cutting-edge contract structures
• Advise on PFI expiry/variation and future public private partnerships
• Structure, draft and negotiate high value commercial contracts including financial and technical schedules
• Mentor and supervise members of the team and support training for clients
• Lead and participate in business development initiatives and marketing events, including client training, preparation of tenders, attending pitches and attending client hospitality events
• Undertake and co-ordinate project management to ensure a seamless service
• Work on procurement issues/developing procurement skills
• Support the Ministry of Defence client on major procurements
• Take own initiative and run own projects and matters
