The role
This role is for a Senior Associate or Managing Associate within the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations (FSDI) team at TLT. The position is for ambitious lawyers looking to take the next step in their career, offering top-quality work in financial services litigation for a range of major UK and international clients.
What you'll do
- Run a varied contentious caseload for key financial services clients
- Undertake supervision of others
- Provide strategic and commercial legal advice upon a range of disputes and claims, working alongside more senior members of the team
- Participate in business development activities with clients and potential clients, nurturing existing relationships and building on new ones
- Assist with production of legal updates and know-how development
What we're looking for
A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) already operating at a Senior Associate or Managing Associate level
Experience of running own caseload of financial litigation or property litigation matters
Thorough understanding of the CPR and the litigation process
Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
Commercially aware with some exposure to business development
Ability to maintain and nurture strong client relationships
Develop a deep understanding of client’s business needs
Act in the best interest of the firm and the client
Contribute to a collaborative culture
Ambition to assist in the development of junior team members
Experience in secured lending litigation, mortgage repossession, or complex title rectification matters· nice to have
Experience in unsecured or secured debt recovery, or broader recoveries work· nice to have
Experience of supervising or line managing Associates, Trainees and/or Paralegals· nice to have
