The role
This role is for a Senior Associate to join the Financial Regulation and Disputes (FRD) team in Bristol. The FRD team is a market-leading group specializing in financial services litigation, focusing on high-value and complex contentious matters for major UK and international financial institutions.
What you'll do
- Run a varied contentious caseload for key financial services clients
- Undertake supervision of others
- Provide strategic and commercial legal advice upon a range of disputes and claims, working alongside more senior members of the team
- Participate in business development activities with clients and potential clients, nurturing existing relationships and building on new ones
- Assist with production of legal updates and know-how development
What we're looking for

Experience of running own caseload of litigation matters
Thorough understanding of the CPR and the litigation process
Experience in financial litigation, or alternatively insurance litigation, property litigation or commercial litigation
Forward thinker
Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
Self-motivated with ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
Track record of maintaining and nurturing strong client relationships
Ability to develop a deep understanding of client business needs
Team-orientated approach
Genuine desire to assist in development of junior team members
Experience of supervising or line managing Associates, Trainees and/or Paralegals is desirable· nice to have
