Associate - Insurance Disputes

The role

An Associate solicitor is sought for the 14-lawyer Insurance Disputes team in Exeter. This role is for a qualified solicitor with strong technical skills and client focus, who will provide a first-class service in insurance and personal injury matters.

What you'll do

• Advise in relation to and represent clients in insurance and personal injury matters through litigation, arbitration or alternative dispute resolution with minimal supervision
• Advise on coverage and interpretation issues, liability claims, subrogation, and personal injury (both Claimant and Defendant) in the England and Wales jurisdiction
• Advise on contractual matters concerning insurance disputes
• Assist and advise on civil litigation cases
• Take instructions from and attend clients including file opening and internal compliance procedures
• Progress cases through the litigation process considering all appropriate methods of ADR
• Conduct ad hoc general research on matters
• Actively participate in team marketing initiatives
• Ensure files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures and client service level agreements
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental training sessions
