Senior / Principal Associate – Banking & Finance (London / Birmingham)

The role

Gowling WLG is seeking a Senior / Principal Associate for their Banking & Finance team in London or Birmingham. This role is for a lawyer with 3-10 years of PQE to handle a broad range of non-contentious banking transactions, including acquisition finance, corporate lending, and project finance.

What you'll do

• Act for banks, borrowers and private equity houses on banking matters
• Draft and negotiate loan facility, security, intercreditor and ancillary documents
• Prepare facility documentation, negotiate and advise on leveraged acquisition finance transactions
• Advise on corporate lending transactions
• Draft and advise on asset-backed/receivables finance transactions
• Draft and negotiate project finance documentation
• Advise on cross-border transactions including managing overseas legal counsel and negotiating legal opinions
• Advise on ISDA and other hedging and credit support documentation
• Draft and negotiate documents and advise in connections with structuring matters
• Advise on general banking matters and work closely with other parts of the firm
• Establish, develop and maintain client relationships and obtain instructions from identified target and existing clients
