Senior Associate/Special Counsel - Electricity Regulatory - National

The role

HWLE Lawyers is seeking a Senior Associate/Special Counsel with 6+ years of PQE to join their Melbourne Corporate and Commercial practice. This role focuses on the rapidly growing renewable energy sector, M&A, and corporate regulatory matters, working with the national renewable energy lead.

What you'll do

• Work directly with the firm's national renewable energy lead
• Be involved in an interesting mix of M&A, major projects work in renewable energy and other sectors, contracting, general corporate, business and strategic advice, and corporate governance work
• Be trained and be part of the process to deliver value for clients beyond the provision of legal services, regardless of any given project phase
• Incorporate project sale and acquisition and due diligence, project feasibility, grid connection, compliance and associated areas of finance, offtake, construction and operation
