The role

White & Case is seeking a Senior Associate for its Project Finance team in Sydney, Australia. This role is for a lawyer with 4-7 years of experience in project and finance law, focusing on large-scale infrastructure and development projects.

What you'll do

Act for top tier lenders and sponsors in connection with project, corporate and acquisition financing mandates in the energy infrastructure and resources sectors
Assist the closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions
Support the coordination of internal teams across the White & Case global offices to achieve closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions
Manage external counsels in respect of local jurisdiction legal issues to achieve closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions
Manage small teams to provide timely assistance/advice to White & Case top tier lender and sponsor clients

What we're looking for

Admission in Australia or Common Law jurisdiction

PQE 4-7

Experience in general banking finance, broad exposure preferable consisting of a combination of, project, corporate and acquisition finance, syndicated and bilateral financings (both secured and unsecured)

A good knowledge of international finance law and the analytical skill to navigate the contractual intricacies of complex, cross-border transactions

Highly organized and deadline focused

Adept at managing multiple work streams and delivering flawless work within short timeframes

Collaborative and works well as part of a team

Builds strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients and outside parties

Self-motivated and proactive
