Associate / Senior Associate, Technology, Media and Telecommunications

The role

An Associate or Senior Associate position is available in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. This role will involve transactional, regulatory, governance, and incident management matters for clients across various sectors, with exposure to significant transactions and a multi-disciplinary team.

What you'll do

• Handle telecommunications and data centres matters including major commercial projects, regulatory, infrastructure development, services arrangements and major M&A transactions
• Advise on data & AI matters including data and AI governance and regulatory advice, data commercialisation, engagement with regulators, large-scale compliance uplifts, and investments in and acquisitions of AI companies
• Respond to cyber incidents
• Engage with law enforcement, government agencies and regulators on cyber matters including formal investigations and regulatory enforcement action
• Advise on cyber regulatory requirements
• Facilitate and participate in cyber simulations
• Assist with other cyber preparedness activities
• Handle outsourcing matters including technology and business process outsourcing and vendor management
• Handle corporate matters including business separations and systems integrations and advising on complex corporate carve outs
• Work on digital transformation projects
• Provide tech and data advisory and transaction work for startups and innovation clients at all stages of their lifecycle, including work on capital raises
• Handle media matters including regulatory matters and broadcasting rights deals
