The role

An ambitious Associate with 6+ years of PQE is sought to join the highly ranked Employment and Immigration team at Watson Farley & Williams. This role involves undertaking top-quality transactional work with a focus on employment and immigration law, supporting partners and clients globally.

What you'll do

Advise in-house lawyers, HR professionals, finance directors, managing directors and individuals
Invest in relationships with clients and take time to fully understand businesses and cultures
Support transactional projects including due diligence and negotiation of transactional documents
Run the employment aspects of transactions with limited input and supervision from Partners
Engage directly with clients, including multi-party transactional calls
Build lasting client relationships
Develop a personal BD plan aligned with firm strategy

What we're looking for

A qualified solicitor with 6+ years of PQE working within the Employment department of City or International law firms

Solid experience in supporting transactional projects including due diligence and negotiation of transactional documents

Solid experience and knowledge of TUPE in both service provision and asset purchase transactions

Strong project management skills and ability to run the employment aspects of transactions with limited input and supervision from Partners

Proven technical legal skills in corporate transactions, ideally in one or more of our relevant industry sectors

Strong, well-rounded HR advisory experience, able to work with minimal supervision

Confident in direct client engagement, including multi-party transactional calls, and skilled at building lasting client relationships

Proactive, positive, and hands-on, with a flexible approach to delivering high-quality client service

Actively involved in business development, including developing a personal BD plan aligned with firm strategy

Ambitious, motivated, and keen to take on increasing responsibility

Strong team player

Sector experience in transport, energy, or infrastructure is an advantage but not essential· nice to have
