Associate - Professional & Financial Risks at RPC

The role

This Associate role in the Professional & Financial Risks (PFR) team in Bristol is for lawyers with 1-4 years of PQE seeking to handle a diverse range of claims against professionals, including coverage issues and associated regulatory matters. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to engage in business development within a top-ranked practice group known for its work with Professional Indemnity Insurers.

What you'll do

Manage a caseload of Professional Indemnity claims, including coverage issues
Deliver high quality and timely output to clients, ensuring high levels of client service and alignment with agreed working practices and client service level agreements
Contribute to the development and improvement of the team's service, support, processes and procedures
Demonstrate the values and behaviours that for which the team is known and keep it client focused
Capture and collate required Management Information in accordance with agreed practice for clients

What we're looking for

1-4 years of PQE or equivalent relevant expertise

A strong grounding in litigation experience

Able to deliver legal and commercial solutions

Able to work efficiently and commercially

Collaborative and works effectively in a team

A good knowledge of legal procedures

Excellent communication skills (both orally and in writing)

Able to adapt to shifting priorities and adapt plans accordingly

Good initiative and problem-solving skills

Good attention to detail

Good organisational skills

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Insurance experience is desirable but not essential· nice to have
