The role
Penningtons Manches Cooper is seeking an Associate for its highly ranked corporate tax team. This role is for an individual with 2-5 PQE who will provide transactional support and standalone tax advice to a diverse range of UK and international business clients. The role involves working closely with clients to meet their objectives in a commercial and pragmatic manner.
What you'll do
- Undertake fee-earning work
- Provide a profitable contribution to the work of the division
- Contribute to the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan and firms commonality of purpose
- Deliver a high quality commercial legal service ensuring personal compliance with quality standards and professional ethics
- Be an ambassador for the firm at all times and always promote it in a positive light
- Communicate by email and telephone with clients and take instructions
- Undertake document reviews and record findings
- Assist with general case management and the day to day running of matters
- Assist with business development including updating and maintaining marketing lists and material
- Assist the team in preparing the documents to establish share incentive schemes for clients
- Make applications to HMRC for S/EIS relief and prepare certificates for investors
