Associate/Senior Associate - Housing Development & Regeneration at Gowling WLG

The role

This role is for an Associate (NQ-2PQE) or Senior Associate (3-5 PQE) to join the Housing Development and Regeneration team in Leeds. The position focuses on providing specialist advice on residential development and housing regeneration projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the firm's northern operations.

What you'll do

Provide cutting edge specialist advice on all aspects of residential development and housing led work
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Become immersed in the residential development market
Manage work streams involving title due diligence
Manage work streams involving land acquisition (both short and long term)
Manage work streams involving nuanced elements of residential development work
Lead on transactions appropriate to your experience (Associate)
Play a supporting role on larger/more complex deals working with senior team members
Work with wider multi-disciplinary lawyers from across the firm
Lead on transactions (Senior Associate)
Supervise junior staff (Senior Associate)
Coordinate multi specialist teams (Senior Associate)
Contribute to business development
Contribute to marketing
Assist on tenders to prospective clients

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor (min NQ)

Experience in residential development or a strong commitment to building a career in this sector

Ability to manage own caseload to tight deadlines

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Ability to prioritise workload effectively

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to support colleagues

Ability to give clear, practical advice with sound commercial judgment

Ability to implement instructions swiftly and accurately
