The role
WilmerHale seeks an IP Associate with 2-4 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and litigation, focusing on the life sciences sector. This role is for an attorney in New York with a strong background in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and related industries.

What we're looking for

3-5 years of post-JD experience in both patent prosecution and litigation
Experience with patents in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, medical device and digital health industries
Knowledge of patent portfolio management and development, competitive landscape analyses, and patentability
Admission to practice before the USPTO
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based (MA, NY, CA, CO or DC)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Life sciences PhD strongly preferred· nice to have
