The role
WilmerHale is seeking an IP Associate with 2-4 years of experience for its Health Law and IP practice in Boston. This role will focus on patent prosecution and litigation matters within the life sciences sector.
What we're looking for
2-4 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and litigation
JD from an accredited law school
Undergraduate degree in Biology
Admission to practice before the USPTO
Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based (MA, NY, CA, CO or DC)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Life sciences PhD is strongly preferred· nice to have
Experience with patents in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, medical device and digital health industries· nice to have
Knowledge of patent portfolio management and development, competitive landscape analyses, and patentability· nice to have
