The role
Cooley is seeking 3rd–6th year associates to join its elite private companies team, advising disruptive companies and their investors, with a focus on the life sciences sector. Ideal candidates will have significant experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including financings and liquidity events.
What you'll do
- Advise disruptive companies and the investors who fund them
- Counsel venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle
- Participate in speaking engagements
- Contribute to the development of Cooley’s national private companies platform
What we're looking for
3-6 years of experience
At least three years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies
Experience working with life sciences companies
Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
Deep experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events
