The role

A Senior Associate with 5+ PQE is sought for the Energy & Construction team in Manchester, focusing on high-value, complex contentious disputes across construction, engineering, and projects. This role involves dispute resolution for clients in the energy, infrastructure, and development sectors.

What you'll do

Advise on a wide range of contentious construction and engineering matters
Act on complex, high-value disputes arising from major projects
Handle adjudications, High Court litigation, and other dispute resolution processes
Advise clients across the energy, infrastructure, PFI/PPE and development sectors
Manage your own caseload while supporting partners on larger, multi-jurisdictional matters
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years’ PQE

Strong experience in contentious construction / engineering disputes

Proven experience in dispute resolution processes including adjudication and litigation

Exposure to energy, infrastructure, PFI/PPE or major development projects

Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills

Ability to manage complex matters with a high level of autonomy

Commercial awareness and a strong client-focused approach

A collaborative mindset with the ability to support and mentor junior lawyers
