Associate (3+ PQE) - Employment Core at Mishcon de Reya

The role

This role is for an employment lawyer with 3+ PQE looking to develop a varied career within Mishcon de Reya's Employment team. The position involves advising a diverse client base on complex contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, with opportunities for litigation and business development.

What you'll do

Advise clients (employers and employees) on both contentious and noncontentious employment law
Advise on discrimination
Advise on restrictive covenants
Advise on HR advisory
Advise on TUPE
Advise on unfair dismissal
Advise on redundancies
Advise on settlement agreements
Advise on data theft
Advise on the misappropriation of confidential information
Advise on the employment aspects of corporate transactions
Advise on other contractual issues
Advise on litigious matters in the Employment Tribunal, High Court and appellate courts
Undertake business development activities, on behalf of the team, both internally and externally
Maintain high levels of client contact
Engage in client contact with both individuals and businesses

What we're looking for

3+ PQE gained in employment law from a reputable practice

Strong academic record

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Excellent writing skills, with strong drafting abilities

Ability to effectively manage own workload, undertaking a truly client facing role

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and with clients

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations

Resilient and calm under pressure

Adaptable and flexible approach

Pro-active and takes initiative

Solid transactional, advisory and litigation experience· nice to have

Experience of representing both corporates and individuals· nice to have
