The role
Kirkland & Ellis seeks an Investment Funds Associate with 3-6 years of experience in venture capital and growth equity to join its practice in the Bay Area/Los Angeles. This role focuses on fund formation, fundraising, and operational matters for leading sponsors, and involves significant M&A aspects.
What you'll do
- Work closely with market-leading venture capital and growth equity sponsors on a broad range of matters
- Advise on fund formation and fundraising
- Advise on sponsor governance and ownership arrangements
- Advise on management company and general partner structuring
- Advise on succession planning, compensation and economics arrangements
- Advise on strategic transactions involving asset managers
- Advise on other operational and regulatory matters affecting investment management platforms
What we're looking for
3-6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm
Experience with the formation, structuring, fundraising and operation of venture capital, growth equity, and other investment vehicles
Experience with M&A transactions
