The role
Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an Investment Funds Associate with 3-6 years of experience in venture capital and growth equity to join its Los Angeles/Bay Area offices. This role will focus on M&A matters related to the formation, structuring, fundraising, and operation of investment vehicles for leading sponsors.
What you'll do
- Work closely with market-leading venture capital and growth equity sponsors on a broad range of matters
- Advise on fund formation and fundraising
- Advise on sponsor governance and ownership arrangements
- Advise on management company and general partner structuring
- Advise on succession planning
- Advise on compensation and economics arrangements
- Advise on strategic transactions involving asset managers
- Advise on other operational and regulatory matters affecting investment management platforms
What we're looking for
3-6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm
Experience with the formation, structuring, fundraising and operation of venture capital, growth equity, and other investment vehicles
