The role
Goodwin is seeking a mid-level associate with 3-4 years of PQE to join its Life Sciences group. The role focuses on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and IP support for corporate transactions within the life sciences sector.
What you'll do
- Draft and negotiate intellectual property licenses
- Draft and negotiate joint development, collaboration, and other strategic alliance agreements
- Draft and negotiate technology licenses and services agreements
- Draft and negotiate distribution agreements
- Perform intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions
- Perform intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for technology transfers
- Provide IP support for corporate transactions in the life sciences arena
What we're looking for
3-4 years of PQE
Experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions
Experience in IP support (including intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence) of corporate transactions in the life sciences arena
Experience drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses
Experience with joint development, collaboration, and other strategic alliance agreements
Experience with technology licenses and services agreements
Experience with distribution agreements
Experience performing intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence for corporate transactions and technology transfers
General experience working in teams
General experience managing substantial components of transactions independently
Outstanding academic credentials
Comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
Experience in adjacent fields will be considered· nice to have
