The role
Eversheds Sutherland is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer for their Leeds team, suitable for Senior Associate or Principal Associate level candidates with 5-9 PQE. This role focuses primarily on transactional M&A work, with some involvement in equity capital markets, private equity, and reorganisations, supporting both local and global client mandates.
What you'll do
- Contribute proactively and enthusiastically to business development activity with the internal and external market
- Develop close working relationships with appropriate office contacts throughout the business, both nationally and internationally
- Support the busy M&A team locally
What we're looking for
5-9 years of Post Qualified Experience in Corporate law
Ability to deal with the competing demands of clients which arise from involvement in a number of separate transactions at once
Ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines
Ability to demonstrate the delivery of excellent client service
Drive, enthusiasm and ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to build great relationships, both with clients and with colleagues you work with in other practice groups
Strong commercial awareness
Experience of coaching/supervising and mentoring of more junior lawyers at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level
Experience of cross-border transactions· nice to have
