Supervising Associate - Derivatives at Simmons & Simmons

The role

An opportunity for a Supervising Associate with 4+ PQE to join the market-leading Derivatives & Trading team, which is part of the Asset Management & Investment Funds group. This role is for someone who thrives on complex, high-value work, wants to take ownership of client relationships, and mentor junior colleagues.

What you'll do

Draft and negotiate a wide range of trading and derivatives documentation, including ISDAs, prime brokerage agreements, GMRAs, GMSLAs and ETD agreements
Provide clear, commercially focused advice on regulatory developments such as EMIR and MiFID II
Work closely with partners, other practice areas and clients to deliver integrated solutions
Contribute to business development and knowledge initiatives
Mentor junior colleagues

What we're looking for

4+ PQE

Trained and qualified with a leading firm

Proven experience in buy-side Derivatives and Trading transactions

Strong academic background

Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team

Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to manage sensitive and high-value matters

Strong technical expertise in derivatives and trading

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Confidence managing multiple transactions

Ability to engage directly with institutional clients

Ability to guide junior lawyers
