Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Associate

The role

Winston Taylor is seeking a Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Associate (5-7 PQE) for their London team. This role is for lawyers experienced in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, focusing on advising various stakeholders in both contentious and non-contentious situations.

What you'll do

• Advise a wide range of stakeholders on restructuring and insolvency matters, including insolvency office holders, lenders, directors, investors and corporates, tailoring advice to suit each client’s objectives
• Take a leading role in distressed M&A transactions, acting for both buy-side and sell-side clients across a variety of sectors, including coordinating with overseas counsel where required
• Advise boards of large corporates, start-ups and scale-ups through periods of financial stress and distress, including on directors’ duties, contingency planning and restructuring options
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of restructuring and insolvency documentation, including security reviews, enforcement documentation, administration sale agreements, in-court and out-of-court appointments and related court applications
• Undertake legal research and provide practical, commercial solutions to complex problems
• Play an active role in business development, including client relationship management, thought leadership and wider market engagement
