The role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Privacy, Cyber and Digital/Tech Regulatory Associate with 4-6 years of PQE to join Dentons' highly ranked Privacy and Cyber Security group in London. The role focuses on providing expert legal advice on data protection, cyber security, and digital regulatory matters, including AI and online safety, to global clients. The position reports to a Partner within the 3-partner strong group.

What you'll do

Lead teams to deliver material advisory projects for multinational companies on data, cyber or digital regulatory laws
Draft, review and amend a range of Privacy / Data Protection documentation, policies and procedures
Advise clients on a variety of Privacy and Data Protection matters, including on the data protection and cyber implications of the deployment of innovative AI technology
Advise on developing areas of digital and data regulation, including online safety, Data Act, and AI regulation
Act as a senior member of the core team in providing urgent support on major, international cyber incidents
Coordinate international breach notification requirements and regulatory engagement
Assist regulatory enforcement investigations
Negotiate data privacy related contractual documents
Lead international projects that involve preparing key advice and coordinating local lawyers
Contribute to BD and marketing activities
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of DP, cyber and digital regulatory laws outside the UK and EU
Coach and mentor junior members of the team
Provide thought leadership and raise the profile of the firm externally
