The role

Mills Oakley is seeking a Senior Associate with 5-7 years of PQE to join their Commercial Disputes team in Brisbane. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of disputes, developing case strategies, and mentoring junior lawyers, offering a path for those with partnership aspirations.

What you'll do

Manage a diverse portfolio of disputes
Develop and complex case strategies
Work closely with other team members, clients and Counsel to achieve outstanding results
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and client relationship management

What we're looking for

Between 5-7 years' experience in a broad range of commercial disputes from a highly recognised mid or top-tier firm/practice

Excellent technical skills and commercial judgement

Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers

Strong communication and people skills, and ability to build and maintain client relationships

Partnership aspirations with a proactive mindset and genuine interest in business development

Experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitrations is desirable· nice to have
