The role

This is a Senior Associate or Special Counsel role in the Dispute Resolution - Public Law team in Canberra, supporting a highly regarded Partner. The role is for a senior lawyer with significant experience in public law litigation, administrative law, privacy, or freedom of information matters for the Commonwealth government.

What you'll do

Work on a breadth of matters in the public law space

What we're looking for

A minimum of 5 years of post-admission experience working in or for the public sector/service on Commonwealth government matters

Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills

Outstanding attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills

The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive and collaborative team

The ability to confidently run matters

The ability to handle a busy workload with competing timelines

Experience in privacy and FOI matters· nice to have
