The role
This role is for a Lawyer or Associate with 1-5 PQE to join the General Insurance team in Adelaide. The position focuses on defending compulsory third-party (CTP) claims for insurers, with opportunities to work on workers compensation, public liability claims, and for government clients.
What you'll do
- Review documents and preparation of chronologies
- Draft correspondence to the Court and third parties
- Conferencing with witnesses and preparing witness statements
- Prepare briefs for counsel
- Draft Court documents and attend Court
- Draft advices
- Draft letters of instruction to experts
- Conduct legal research
- Manage and have carriage of own files with appropriate supervision
What we're looking for
Between 1 and 5 years of post-admission experience in defendant insurance law
Experience in CTP, workers compensation, public liability, property insurance, or abuse claims
Clear, concise legal writing skills
Strong attention to detail
Genuine interest in contributing to the growth and success of our insurance practice in Adelaide
