The role
This is an opportunity for a Lawyer/Associate with approximately 1-3 years of post-qualification experience to join the Dispute Resolution & Litigation - Government Advisory team at a modern Australian law firm. The role focuses on providing merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency and will work alongside Partners Mark Henry and Angela Barac.
What you'll do
- Draft summaries of evidence and statements of issues
- Assist and attend case conferences and hearings
- Conduct directions hearings
- Draft litigation strategies
- Undertake complex statutory interpretation
What we're looking for
1-3 years post qualification experience
Experience in government advisory work
Strong interest in administrative law
Strong interest in statutory interpretation
Strong drafting skills
Excellent communication skills
Collegiate approach
Legally permitted to work in Australia
Background of working in government· nice to have
