The role

An experienced lawyer is sought for the Corporate Crime & Investigations team, part of the Dispute Resolution department. This role involves advising corporates, directors, and government agencies on corporate crime and regulatory investigations, with a focus on emergency response, internal investigations, and defence of complex cases. The role offers significant responsibility and exposure to top-calibre clients.

What you'll do

Advise corporates, and their boards and directors, government agencies and high net worth individuals on all aspects of corporate crime and regulatory investigations
Undertake internal investigations
Engage with regulators
Defend complex investigations and prosecutions

What we're looking for

Experience in corporate crime, financial crime and/or regulatory enforcement

Experience advising corporates in relation to large scale investigations and prosecutions

Practical experience of criminal law and procedure

Practical experience of corporate criminal liability

Practical experience advising in relation to a large scale criminal investigation

Practical experience advising a corporate in relation to a criminal investigation by the SFO, HMRC, the FCA, the HSE, the EA, etc

Practical experience advising in relation to a large-scale coroner's inquest

Practical experience advising in relation to compliance and complex regulatory risk

Strong team working skills

Excellent interpersonal, client and commercial skills

Adaptability and ability to deal with complex work under pressure

Registration as a lawyer with the SRA
