The role

Wilson Sonsini is seeking an Energy & Climate Solutions Associate with 3-7 years of PQE for their Energy practice in Boston, Los Angeles, or New York. This role focuses on transactional work within the clean energy sector, involving project development, contract negotiation, and acquisitions.

What you'll do

Craft and negotiate key project development contracts such as power purchase agreements, energy service contracts, and other offtake arrangements
Work on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions
Serve as the go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions and related financing support
Engage in daily direct contact with a wide range of clients, Wilson Sonsini partners, and counterparty counsel

What we're looking for

3-7 years of experience

Transactional focus in the energy sector

Comfortable and interested in crafting and negotiating key project development contracts

Experience working on framework commercial agreements and joint venture transactions

Experience serving as the go-to associate on project and portfolio acquisitions and related financing support

Ability to use and adapt a range of commercial structures for various energy projects and buyers

Experience structuring and negotiating energy project offtake transactions

Strong communication skills

Strong project management skills
