The role
Clifford Chance is seeking a Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its Finance and Projects practice in New York. This role focuses on advising on US project financing of energy and infrastructure projects, including holdco financing and US tax equity financings.
What you'll do
- Advise on all aspects of project development and finance across the energy, infrastructure, natural resources and transport sectors
- Advise on project and financing documentation
- Advise on public-private partnerships
- Advise on multi-source financings
- Advise on risk allocation
- Advise on regulatory matters
- Act for sponsors, lenders, governments, contractors and investors on greenfield and brownfield projects worldwide
- Work with colleagues in construction, environmental, tax, regulatory and disputes practices to provide integrated advice from project development through financing and delivery
- Manage complexity and deliver projects across multiple jurisdictions
What we're looking for
At least six years of experience focused on US project financing of energy and infrastructure projects
Holdco financing of energy and infrastructure projects
US tax equity financings of energy and energy transition projects
Admission to the New York bar is required
At least six years of experience negotiating credit agreements and collateral documents for energy and infrastructure projects
Construction to back-leverage financing; experience with other financing structures involving tax equity/tax credits is a plus· nice to have
