Mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate at Baker McKenzie

The role

Baker McKenzie seeks a Mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate for its New York office with 4-5 years of experience. This role will focus on a full range of debt finance transactions within the Leveraged Finance Practice, representing private equity sponsors, corporate issuers, borrowers, and financial institutions.

What you'll do

Represent private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, corporate issuers and borrowers, lenders and other financial institutions in the full range of debt finance transactions throughout the capital stack

What we're looking for

Four to five years of experience in leveraged finance

Substantive experience representing private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and/or lenders in a full range of debt finance transactions

Prior experience as a key member of deal teams is preferred

Must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the NY Bar

Ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members

Exposure to middle-market private equity transactions is helpful· nice to have

Prior experience working across from or representing alternative credit providers and private lenders is helpful· nice to have

Taking the pen on drafting and negotiating debt commitment papers and credit documentation· nice to have
