The role
Orrick is seeking Associates with 2-7 years of experience to join their Intellectual Property group. This role focuses on life sciences litigation, supporting some of the world's most innovative life sciences companies. Ideal candidates will have a technical degree and significant experience in life sciences patent litigation.
What you'll do
- Draft briefs
- Engage in all phases of fact and expert discovery
What we're looking for
Associates with 2-7 years of experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Admission to the state bar and in good standing
Excellent legal research, writing and communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment
Background in life sciences or related technical field
2 or more years of experience specifically in life sciences patent litigation
Experience in drafting briefs and engaging in all phases of fact and expert discovery
Technical degrees in biology, chemistry, pharmacology or related fields· nice to have
