Wilson Sonsini is seeking a Seattle-based Corporate Associate with 4-6 years of experience to advise innovative technology and life sciences companies on M&A and other strategic transactions, acting as a trusted advisor and outside general counsel throughout their lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Advise emerging growth companies on day-to-day corporate and governance matters
- Represent companies and investors in venture financings and other equity transactions
- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions
- Work with founders, executives and boards as companies grow and evolve
- Help clients navigate the legal and business issues that arise at each stage of their development
- Provide day-to-day strategic and legal advice
- Serve as an extension of the client’s team in an outside general counsel role
What we're looking for
4-6 years of corporate law experience
Experience advising emerging growth companies on corporate and governance matters
Experience representing companies and investors in venture financings and other equity transactions
Experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions
Experience working with founders, executives and boards
Curious, entrepreneurial, and energized by working with companies building something new
Creative problem-solver who enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working directly with clients
Genuine interest in technology and life sciences
Enthusiasm for working alongside people developing new technologies and companies
Meaningful experience in venture capital, private equity, capital markets, or mergers & acquisitions
Superior academic credentials
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Technical or science degree· nice to have
