The role
Arnold & Porter is seeking a mid-level associate with 2020-2023 PQE for its Financial Services group in New York or Washington, DC. This role will focus on complex regulatory and transactional issues, chartering and licensing, investigations, and administrative enforcement actions within the financial services industry.
What you'll do
- Provide comprehensive regulatory, litigation, legislative, and transactional services to financial institution and fintech clients
- Handle complex regulatory and transactional issues
- Handle chartering and licensing
- Handle investigations
- Handle administrative enforcement actions
- Represent clients in legislative matters related to the financial services industry
What we're looking for
2020 - 2023 PQE
Experience in bank regulatory, anti-money laundering, consumer protection, fintech, chartering, or cryptocurrency matters
Strong research, writing, and analytic skills
Ability to work independently and creatively
Ability to work successfully as part of a team
Excellent academic credentials and references
Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply
Experience representing clients before or working at the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, FinCEN or state banking agencies· nice to have
Benefits
Salary range of $235,000 - $365,000
Eligibility for an hours-based bonus
