Sovereign Finance Associate - Junior to Mid-Level

The role

Arnold & Porter is seeking a junior to mid-level associate (JD 2022-2025) for its Sovereign Finance team in New York or Washington, DC. The role focuses on advising sovereign governments, sub-sovereigns, state-owned enterprises, and international financial institutions on complex global capital markets transactions, requiring fluency in Portuguese and Spanish.

What you'll do

• Advise sovereign governments, sub-sovereigns, state-owned enterprises, and international financial institutions on complex and innovative transactions
• Represent issuers and other market participants in sovereign bond offerings, liability management transactions, derivatives transactions, financings, refinancings, and sovereign debt restructurings
• Advise leading private sector companies and financial institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean on a broad range of capital markets, financing, refinancing, liability management, and strategic transactions
• Advise on transactions and strategic assignments involving leading international financial institutions
