The role
Goodwin is seeking a mid-level Tax Associate with 3-4 years of experience in general transactional tax work to join their Boston office. The role involves advising clients on a broad range of transactional tax matters, supporting the firm's corporate practice.
What you'll do
- Advise clients on a broad range of transactional tax matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Advise clients on partnerships, LLCs, and other joint ventures
- Advise clients on private equity transactions and fund formation
- Advise clients on real estate transactions, real estate fund formation, and real estate investment trusts
- Advise clients on venture capital transactions and fund formation
- Advise clients on financing and capital markets transactions
What we're looking for
3-4 years of experience in general transactional tax work
General experience working in teams
General experience managing substantial components of transactions independently
Outstanding academic credentials
Comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
