The role
Munger, Tolles & Olson seeks a Patent Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of PQE in Los Angeles. This role will focus on complex patent infringement litigation, Federal Circuit appeals, and PTAB proceedings within the firm's IP Litigation practice.
What you'll do
- Be heavily involved in overall strategizing
- Be heavily involved in briefing
- Be heavily involved in depositions
- Be heavily involved in trial
What we're looking for
1-3 years of experience in patent litigation
Outstanding academic achievement including law school record and references
Proven litigation and writing skills
Strong understanding of patent laws
Experience with patent infringement litigation in district court, Federal Circuit appeals, PTAB proceedings, tech transactions, and patent-adjacent work such as antitrust and trade secret cases
Admission to CA Bar preferred but not required initially
Patent Office registration is a plus but not necessary
A technical degree or work experience is preferred· nice to have
