The role
O'Melveny & Myers is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Century City office. This role is for a mid-level associate with a focus on complex litigation.
What you'll do
- Draft and edit pleadings
- Draft and edit briefs
- Draft and edit interview memos or other written work product
- Conduct witness interviews
- Prepare for and conduct depositions
- Prepare for and participate in arbitrations and trials
What we're looking for
4-6 years of experience
Excellent academic credentials
Demonstrated experience in complex litigation
Experience in motion practice
Experience in depositions
Experience in discovery management
Experience in trial preparation
Experience drafting and editing pleadings, briefs, interview memos or other written work product
Experience conducting witness interviews
Experience taking a leadership role in cases and at the firm
Ability to handle and run multiple significant matters at once
Eagerness and willingness to work hard
Care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail in work
Experience preparing for and conducting depositions· nice to have
Experience preparing for and participating in arbitrations and trials· nice to have
Clerkships· nice to have
Benefits
Salary range of $310,000 - $365,000
