The role
WilmerHale's Technology Transactions and Licensing Group in Boston is seeking candidates with five to seven years of experience to structure, draft, and negotiate complex IP licensing and other agreements for life sciences companies. The role involves collaborating with various practice groups to advise clients on IP rights and technology transactions, particularly within the life sciences sector.
What you'll do
- Structure, draft, and negotiate IP licensing, collaboration, distribution, services, development and other complex agreements for life sciences companies
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate complex IP and commercial agreements
- Advise on IP rights and related technology transactions matters
- Negotiate complex agreements for clients across a broad spectrum of industries
- Collaborate with other team members across offices
What we're looking for
Five to seven years of experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating IP licensing, collaboration, distribution, services, development and other complex agreements for life sciences companies
Experience analyzing, drafting, and negotiating complex IP and commercial agreements (e.g., licensing, collaboration, distribution, SaaS/Cloud, services, development agreements) in life sciences and/or related industries
Demonstrated experience advising on IP rights and related technology transactions matters, including in life sciences mergers and acquisitions
Juris Doctor degree
Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based
Excellent drafting skills
Strong analytical skills
Willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment
A background including life sciences legal experience· nice to have
A life sciences or medical degree or training is preferred· nice to have
