Real Estate Associate (New York)

The role

DLA Piper's New York office is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3-5 years of experience. This role will focus on general real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, joint venture, and financing matters, and is intended for candidates with strong academic backgrounds and prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm.

What you'll do

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis
• Draft well-written, error free, and reasoned legal documents, including memos, contracts, and correspondence
• Assist/Manage a variety of complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution
• Build, maintain, and cultivate strong internal and external client relationships
• Work collaboratively with other lawyers and business professionals
• Attend, support, and participate in high-level legal activities including client calls and meetings, negotiations
• Ensure rigorous compliance with legal standards and regulations
• Proactively seek out and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
• Engage in and contribute to firm programs and initiatives, civic and professional organizations, pro bono work
