The role
Cooley LLP is hiring a mid-level Associate for its Technology Transactions Group in Palo Alto and New York. This role is for attorneys with three to five years of experience focused on high technology commercial transactions and IP licensing, including AI, software, cloud, and technology transfer agreements.

- Draft and negotiate licensing arrangements
- Advise on transactional privacy issues and compliance and regulatory matters
What we're looking for
Three to five years of experience in technology transactions

Substantive experience with drafting and negotiating complex licensing arrangements
Ability to learn quickly while providing commercially-minded and pragmatic counsel
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Good analytical skills
Creative problem-solving abilities in a transactional context
Thoughtful drafting of customized agreements to meet specific client needs
Desire to stay abreast of related legal developments
Ability to actively contribute to the practice group training environment
Experience with agreements involving artificial intelligence counseling and deployments· nice to have
