The role
Cooley seeks a Capital Markets Attorney with 2-6 years of experience to join their Securities practice in Washington D.C. This role is for experienced attorneys with a focus on public securities offerings, corporate governance, and SEC compliance, particularly within the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors.
What you'll do
- Represent companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
- Represent public companies in a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
- Manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of clients with sophisticated needs
What we're looking for
2-6 years of capital markets and public securities experience
Experience representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
Experience representing public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
Experience managing client relationships and handling day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of sophisticated clients
Experience in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Focus on the technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors· nice to have
