The role
Cooley is seeking a Capital Markets Attorney with 2-6 years of PQE for its Securities practice in Boston, United States. This role is for experienced attorneys focused on public securities offerings and corporate governance for public companies, particularly within the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors.
What you'll do
- Represent companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
- Represent public companies in a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
- Manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of clients with sophisticated needs
What we're looking for
2-6 years of capital markets and public securities experience
Experience representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings
Experience representing public companies in corporate governance and SEC/exchange reporting and compliance
Experience managing client relationships and handling day-to-day demands and work flow requirements
Experience working in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Focus on the technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors· nice to have
