The role
Cooley seeks a 3rd-6th year attorney with experience in private equity and M&A to join their team. The role requires strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with an emphasis on supporting private equity fund and portfolio company clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent business judgment and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
What you'll do
- Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements
- Draft and negotiate LLC and LP agreements
- Draft and negotiate other ancillary transaction documents
- Meet the day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients
- Play a lead role as an extension of the client business teams
